Concrete Repair & Resurfacing in Vancouver
Honest advice on what can be saved and what should be replaced, then the work to match.
What usually goes wrong
Resurfacing over a slab that is still moving is money thrown away. The new surface will crack in the same places within a year.
Not every cracked slab needs to come out. Surface wear, spalling from salt and minor settling can often be corrected for a fraction of a replacement. Structural cracking, heaving and a failed base cannot. We look at what is under the slab before quoting a surface fix.
What is included
- Inspection of the base condition and crack pattern
- Slab jacking or foam lifting for settled panels
- Crack routing, cleaning and flexible sealant
- Polymer-modified overlay for worn but sound slabs
- Spall and edge repair on steps and landings
- A written recommendation, including when replacement is the cheaper answer

Repair or resurfacing questions we hear
More general questions about cost, timing and permits are answered on the homepage.
Resurfacing makes sense when the slab is level and structurally sound but looks worn. If panels have settled, cracks are wide or the edges are crumbling, replacement usually costs less over ten years.
We get close, not exact. New concrete cures lighter and evens out over six to twelve months. Where the match matters, replacing a full panel looks better than patching part of one.
