Base prep we can show you
We excavate, import crushed stone and compact in lifts. Before the truck arrives you can walk the base and see exactly what your slab is sitting on.
Mix and cure matched to this climate
Air entrainment, water content and cure method change with the season. A pour in August and a pour in October are not the same job, and we do not treat them like one.

Most residential driveways in this area land between $8 and $16 per square foot. The spread comes from demolition and disposal of the old slab, how much base has to be imported, slab thickness, reinforcement, access for the truck and finish. A plain broom-finished replacement sits near the bottom of that range. Stamped or colored work with poor truck access sits near the top. We give you a fixed written number after seeing the site.
Walk on it after 24 to 48 hours. Passenger vehicles after seven days. Anything heavy, including RVs, dumpsters and delivery trucks, after 28 days when the slab has reached full design strength. Cold weather extends all of these, and we will give you the actual dates for your pour.
A typical residential driveway is three to four working days: demolition and haul-off, base and forms, pour and finish, then joint cutting and cleanup. Patios are often two to three days. Commercial slabs depend on phasing. Weather can push a pour, and we would rather move a day than pour in the wrong conditions.
Yes, a written workmanship warranty on every job. It covers settlement, base failure and finish defects. It does not cover hairline shrinkage cracks, which are normal in all concrete, or damage from deicing salt applied in the first winter. You get the terms in writing before work starts, not after.
Roughly March through November here, weather depending. Concrete needs the air temperature to stay above about 40°F for several days after placement. Late in the season we use accelerators, insulated blankets and heated mix. In midsummer we start early and use retarders so the surface does not set before it is finished.
Usually yes for public sidewalks, curb cuts and anything in the municipal right of way, and often for new impervious surface over a certain size. Replacing an existing private driveway in kind frequently does not require one. We check with your municipality and pull the permit as part of the job.
Keep deicing salt off it entirely the first winter and use sand for traction instead. Reseal exposed slabs every two to three years, sooner for stamped or colored surfaces in direct sun. Keep control joints clear of debris, and have any crack wider than a credit card routed and sealed before water gets underneath it.
